Scientific religious philosophical mashup
I always thought of vajrayana as Tibet's highest yoga tantra, a serious and esoteric practice that has a precise and well defined goal. I'm pretty sure that's the lightning path, for liberation in a single lifetime. Trying to squash the theory of evolution, quantum physics, and astronomy into a paradigm of realms, kalachakra, and rebirth just seems to me to be asking for confusion. Maybe it can be a fun exercise, to decode and conceptualise vajrayana in modern scientific terms, but what's the point? Does it help in your practice? Does it develop science? Or is it just for a laugh at the nonsensical conclusions it leads to? Or worse, to create an illusion to which to cling, another obstacle in the path? Again, it's like precisely calculating the foot size of angels, given a pin, and how many are dancing on it's head.
